The Healthcare Administrative Training Program is a 16-week intensive program that trains workers for clerical and administrative careers with local hospitals, clinics, and medical insurance billing companies. Graduates earn Madison College credits and are prepared for occupations such as Medical Receptionist, Records Clerk, Coding Specialist, and many others. The Urban League's team of professional Career Specialists works closely with graduates and employers to provide ongoing career counseling, retention support, and advancement assistance.

Partners have included Dean Health Systems, Group Health Cooperative, Meriter Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, UW Hospital and Clinics, UW Medical Foundation, WPS, and other local healthcare related employers. Additional financial and in-kind support has been provided by the Cremer Foundation, DANEnet, Madison College, United Way of Dane County, and the Wisconsin Public Service Commission.

Our Foundations Program can work with your company to develop a customized sourcing solution tailored to your specific talent needs. Each year, hundreds of Dane County citizens seek counseling and training from the Urban League as they explore their next career move. Through a strategic partnership, the Urban League will work to understand your workforce needs, refer qualified candidates and in many situations train individuals to fill your company's openings. All candidates will have received our intensive training communication, teamwork, execution and technology.  We'll also be there alongside you to ensure that our candiates are successfull and adding value to your bottom line.
