The City Planning staff are using multiple methods to engage with residents and other stakeholders in the southside planning area, one being a series of three Community Impact Sessions.
Community Impact Session 2 will address visioning and guiding principles. The conversations will be directed towards relevant issues and future changes for businesses, community spaces, housing, land use, parks & open space, transportation, and redevelopment of key areas of South Park Street, Fish Hatchery Road, and the The Village on Park.
The Community Impact Session will result in the development of the South Madison Neighborhood Plan. This is a 10-15 year look into how we shape the future ? we’ll work on issues that are relevant to the community, determine how best to achieve them, and figure out how to move forward. The plan will undertake a multitude of topics such as The Village on Park, businesses, redevelopment, housing, and land use.
Please mark your calendars and take part in the planning process to help shape the future of the southside.
Childcare and interpreters (Spanish and Hmong) will be at each event.
