The Urban League of Greater Madison is excited to announce the 42nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Recognition Breakfast. The highlight of the Breakfast is the presentation of Outstanding Young Person Awards to almost 300 middle and high school students of color in Dane County who were nominated by their schools for their academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and service to the community.

The Breakfast will also feature presentation of the Betty Franklin-Hammonds Scholarships awards, the George Anglin Memorial Scholarship awardees, and 2026 class of MMSD Mann Scholars.

The Breakfast is open to the public and is one of the oldest and most well attended family observations of the King Holiday in Wisconsin. Over 900 youth, parents, school, and community members are expected to attend. The event typically does sell out, so purchase your tickets now.
