Stand for Justice

2020 was a difficult year. Our community and our nation struggled with the triple pandemics of COVID-19, racial injustice, and economic inequality. Thanks to so many great supporters in the community we were able to respond to the challenges. We redesigned existing programs, and launched new programs such as a support program for parents to assist their children with virtual school, a new home ownership program, a new Black business initiative, and so much more. Watch some testimonials from 2020 below.

The past year has brought unprecedented challenges in the form of a triple pandemic of COVID-19, racial injustice, and economic inequality. The pandemic precluded us from gathering in-person as we normally would for the Urban Cabaret and the MLK Day community breakfast.

In response, the Urban League is excited to bring you a special program: Stand for Justice. The program premiered on January 17 at 1:00 PM and will be running online throughout Black History Month. It includes inspirational stories of triumph and success from 2020, powerful performances by local urban artists, and celebration of the 2021 Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Young Person Awardees.

The program is led by Urban League CEO, Dr. Ruben L. Anthony, Jr. and co-hosted by the talented duo of Rob Dz and Danielle Crim. Use the link above to view the show, and please consider a donation to help us continue this important work.
