Unique Training at NO COST
Classroom Training
Classroom training through Madison College includes Medical Language for Business Professionals, Medical Office Procedures, Customer Contact, Keyboarding, MS Word & MS Excel 2013 Beginning.
Hands-on training components
Through our unique partnerships with area businesses, participants also receive?training in Epic electronic health records software, insurance terminology, and HIPPA/privacy policies PLUS a 40-hour internship (unpaid).
Training schedule
Training is Mondays through Friday, most days from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM for 12 weeks. Participants can also expect to spend 5 to 10 hours per week on homework and other self-guided study.

Are You Eligible?
The Healthcare Administrative Training Program is designed for individuals currently unemployed or underemployed with an expressed interest in administrative career in a healthcare environment. The program is also appropriate for those who are seeking new employment or career advancement opportunities in this sector. To be considered, participants:
- Must have a GED, HSED, or high school diploma.
- Must complete a Compass assessment and earn a score of at least 75 in Reading, 69 in Writing and 30 in Math.
- Must be able to type at least 20 wpm.
- Must have no convictions for information crimes (forgery, fraud, etc.).
There is no cost to participate. However, space?is?limited and candidates must complete a competitive application process.
